JIM NORUMJim Norum is the Vice President of Construction and Development at ABP Capital. Jim’s responsibilities include conducting due diligence on new loan originations, overseeing the loan draw and inspection processes, and overseeing ABP’s real estate portfolio. In addition, Jim is managing Hideaway at Arrington, a 482-lot master planned community and private golf course in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Jim obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA in 2001 and began his career by performing structural analysis and seismic rehabilitation of distressed buildings. In 2003 he accepted a position with K Hovnanian Homes where he served in multiple capacities until departing in 2009. Jim spent the next four years providing a variety of consulting services on distressed assets before transitioning back to the homebuilding industry in 2014. Prior to joining ABP Capital Jim served as the Vice President of Community Development for Melia Homes where he was integrally involved in land acquisition and entitlement efforts on a variety of infill developments in Southern California. Jim holds both a California Real Estate License and a General Contractor’s License and brings a wealth of construction and real estate experience to the ABP Team.
